John 9:4 “As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming when no one can work.”
Those that knew Dr. Omada Idachaba, knew that she truly worked while it was day. The love, affection and care that she showed not only to patients, but employees as well was felt and appreciated by everyone who came in contact with her. Jesus said i must work the works of him that sent me. I believe the Lord truly sent Dr. Idachaba to the do work of a Physician. Changing and touching lives! Although, her night time has come and her work is done on this side, I thank God for the work that she did while it was day. I will never forget the preparation before her niece and nephew came down to Florida. She said Valencia what do i cook? I told her i can’t cook and neither can you. So, let’s just call the professionals. She loved them so much and would speak so highly of them. She will surely be missed, but her legacy here will live on. She was my work friend, my work sister, and at times i would call her my work mom. When i would see her, my day was instantly brightened. I nicknamed her my sunshine. I would either call or text her every morning and say rise and shine my sunshine and she would have the biggest outburst of laughter. I would sing to her a song called “Happy” and she would ask what song are you singing. I couldn’t believe she never heard of the song. One morning she came to work and she said Valencia, “i heard your favorite song”. She would sing the only verse that she and i knew. “Because I’m happy…….”. That is how i remember her. She was always happy, her smile was infectious and she was beautiful inside and out. She was my mentor, and she always had a positive influence and outlook on life. I have no doubt in my mind she was God’s child and surely on earth she will be missed, but God is very happy to receive his heavenly angel.
Valencia was Omada’s last Medical Assistant at Center for Living Well, Disney
